The Wolves Disabled Supporters Association (Wolves DSA) was established in 2012 with a simple but important aim: to bring people together from different communities who share a common passion for Wolverhampton Wanderers and football.
Working closely with the national organisation Level Playing Field, the Wolves DSA has continued to grow and develop, providing a strong and collective voice for disabled supporters.
Since its formation, the DSA has worked alongside other supporter groups through the Club’s Fans Advisory Board, helping to raise and address important issues including **inclusivity, stadium facilities, accessibility and ticketing. Through this work, the DSA has helped ensure that the views and experiences of disabled supporters and their carers are heard, both at Club and national level, with the aim of making the match day experience as enjoyable and accessible as possible for everyone.
Membership of the Wolves DSA is open to everyone and is not restricted to disabled supporters. We believe that football is for all, and everyone who shares our passion for Wolves is welcome to get involved.
As well as providing accessible coach travel to away matches, the DSA organises a range of social activities and events throughout the year. Previous events have included greyhound racing, museum visits and pantomime trips, providing members with opportunities to meet new people, make friends and enjoy experiences away from the football.
The programme of events is dependent on available resources and any funding or support we are able to secure, but we are always looking for new ideas and opportunities to bring our members together.
We are also committed to raising awareness of the Wolves DSA and strengthening the way we communicate with supporters. We continue to develop our communications and expand our presence across social media, helping to share information, celebrate our members and highlight the work we do.
We are always looking for new members, new ideas and new stories. Whether you are a long-standing Wolves supporter, a disabled supporter looking to become more involved, a carer, family member or simply someone who wants to support what we do, you are very welcome.
The enthusiasm, dedication and commitment of Wolves DSA members demonstrate that, when given the opportunity and the right support, disabled supporters can play an active, valued and important role within the football community.
Together, we can continue to make a difference and help make supporting Wolves a positive experience for everyone.
